Biography
Susanna Zucchelli is the Water Manager of Hera S.p.A., responsible for managing networks and plants for the Integrated Water Service. In this role, she ensures the achievement of the assigned objectives of the Annual and Multi-year Plans, consistent with the sustainable development of the territory and the protection of its environmental resources. Previously, from 2017 to 2020, she was first General Manager and then Chief Executive Officer of HERAtech, with responsibility for the Engineering Department, Technical Call Centre/Fluid Remote Controls, Laboratories and management of Customer Technical Services for all business (water cycle, gas, electricity and district heating). Before this, from 2006, she held the position of Director for other business units of the Group.
As Diversity Manager of Hera Group since 2011, Susanna Zucchelli consolidates policies on equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In 2016, she won the Mela D’Oro Award for “Woman-Friendly Company” on behalf of the Hera Group, and previously won the 2004 “Marisa Bellisario prize”, awarded to Italy’s best female managers. At present she is member of Board of Valsoia S.p.A. and Elica S.p.A., and a member of the Presidential Board of ANCE Emilia (National Association of Building Builders). Since 2013, she has been on the Board of Directors of Valore D and has acted as coordinator for the Marisa Bellisario Foundation in Emilia-Romagna district; she is also Member of the Emilia-Romagna Committee for AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research.
After a degree in Modern Languages in 1980 at Bologna University, she did postgraduate courses in Marketing, Sales and Business Administration, thereafter attaining a Master’s degree in Business Administration. As CEO of Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport from 2002-2006, she implemented a new management model for the tourist and commercial development of the area, building on her experience from 1996 to 2002 when she worked as the Commercial Director of Venice airport, where she defined development plans and managed all commercial activities. She has previously been Chair of Promobologna and a member of board of directors of Interporto Bologna, SEA (Società Aeroporti Milanesi), and BolognaFiere S.p.A. In 2005, with Cinzia Sasso, she published “Un’ora sola io vorrei – Manuale per riprendersi il tempo che c’è”, a manual on time management.
