Roberto Mangano

Roberto Mangano is the Managing Director of ILF Consulting Engineers Abu Dhabi and Competence Manager for desalination within the ILF Group. Prior his elevation to Managing Director, Roberto acted as Head of the Department for ILF, having previously covered other positions within the organisation. He has accrued a successful track record of working in Middle East, South America, Asia and Europe as a project director for strategic desalination projects.

Roberto specialises in membrane process desalination. His professional experience ranges from transaction advisory services to detailed engineering design in IW(P)P and EPC procurement of desalination projects for various major utility clients including authorities in Middle East such as FEWA, EWEC, SEWA, OPWP, SWPC, DEWA. His previous project assignments in the water and energy sectors include major desalination water plants in GCC countries, such as Rabigh III, Shuqaiq III IWP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Taweelah IWP and Project WAVE in the United Arab Emirates.

Roberto holds a Master’s degree cum laude in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Genoa as well as several specialist water treatment certificates.
