Biography
Peter Voigt is the Executive Chairman and CTO of Clean TeQ Water Limited, an Australian publicly listed company (ASX:CNQ), and is also CEO of NematiQ Pty Ltd, a 100% owned subsidiary of Clean TeQ Water.
Peter founded Clean TeQ in 1989 based on the premise that providing solutions to environmental problems also delivered positive economic outcomes. Today, Clean TeQ Water focuses on low energy water treatment and the extraction and purification of energy metals in the mining sector.
Peter founded NematiQ in 2018 to focus on the commercialisation of graphene technology in water treatment. The technology, developed at Monash University in Australia in 2015, is licensed to NematiQ specifically for water applications. While graphene membranes have long been publicised as an energy efficient filtration process, the transition from making membranes in the laboratory to industrial scale was a difficult hurdle to clear. NematiQ developed commercial-scale manufacturing processes to produce flat sheet graphene membranes and spiral wound cartridges, allowing graphene membranes to be applied in the direct nanofiltration of waters.
Peter has a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) and Master of Applied Science (Biochemistry) from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
