Biography
Markus Wenzel is responsible for the engineering of industrial water treatment systems at EvCon GmbH in Germany. The company evolved from the tech-company memsys which has developed the thermal separation process Vacuum-Multi-Effect-Membrane-Distillation (VMEMD). EvCon is now working with the third generation of VMEMD-modules.
Mr. Wenzel has more than ten years professional experience in the water sector. He was involved in the continuous development of the VMEMD-technology and related production processes at memsys and EvCon since the first generation appeared on the market. His main task at EvCon is the planning and realization of VMEMD-projects. He is working on system projects from design phase to commissioning. These water treatment systems are able to produce highly purified water from a wide range of feed waters and can concentrate brines up to saturation level. He has collected a wide range of operational experience with the developed membrane modules and is specialized in the concentration of brines and waste water from industry.
As an engineer, his goal is the resource-saving and economic solution of challenges in water treatment. He graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
