Marco Antonio Moreno Mexia

Marco is a Public Accountant & MBA (ITESM) and a Banco de México scholarship holder in his studies of Postgraduate.

With more than 25 years of experience as CFO of public companies and private, Marco began his career at Deloitte before working at international companies. In the public sector, he was the municipal treasurer of Mexicali and now Secretary of the Treasury of the State of Baja California.

For 15 years he founded a consulting firm dedicated to the structuring of investment and financing projects. He has participated in a large number of projects in Mexico and abroad, including placements of Capital in the public and private markets, stock market debt, structured loans, mergers and acquisitions, and public-private partnership projects. He has been responsible for conducting a significant number of debt restructuring transactions, both in the public and private sectors, including municipal, state and parastatal debt.

Partner of a financial consulting firm in the United States and advisor to civil society organizations such as IENAC (Cetys University), REC (Restauremos el Colorado) and various private sector companies, activities from which he has withdrawn upon joining the Cabinet of the state of Baja California. He was the leader of the structure and negotiation of the first sustainable financing in Baja California.
