John Hanula

As senior vice president for our Innovation Office, John focuses on ensuring our Company is maintaining a strategic vision and capitalizing on leading-edge growth opportunities that can transform our business across all geographic regions. He has over 30 years of experience in the water and infrastructure sectors helping to position and engage our clients, as well as provide the right resources for project success.

Having had several leadership roles in the buildings, transportation, oil and gas, environmental, and water sectors, John understands a broad range of creative solutions. He believes this business can be pretty simple—especially when he and his team stay focused on the right elements and execute projects through the Stantec Win/Do/Manage construct. As part of the Stantec Pasadena, California office, he works in close contact with clients in shaping complex tactical pursuits, developing go-to-market strategies, converting sales, ensuring project delivery, and counting money.

When he’s not busy with work, John enjoys fun weekend activities, working out, and hiking around his mountain home in Lake Arrowhead.
