Carlos Martin Freixa

Mr Carlos Martin Freixa is Head of the Desalination Department of Ayesa. He received an MSc Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, with a specialisation in hydraulic works, water treatment and desalination plants. 

Carlos has more than 25 years of experience in the water sector, and has been at Ayesa since 2005. He has led more than 50 relevant water projects around the world, particularly in reverse osmosis seawater desalination plants, in very different countries such as Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Mexico, Peru and Chile.  

He has worked in various engineering roles, such as feasibility studies, technical advisories, conceptual designs, tender designs, detailed designs, owner’s engineering, lender’s technical advisories and design and works supervisions, among others.
