Alan Chan

Alan Chan is global Vice President and General Manager of DuPont Water Solutions, part of DuPont’s Water & Protection business. He leads a team of 2400 employees helping customers in 110 countries solve the world’s most pressing challenges around water access and sustainability. Across 11 manufacturing plants, 14 technical service labs and R&D innovation centres, and 37 commercial locations, the team designs and produces a variety of sustainable solutions that enable the purification, conservation and reuse of water and other essential materials. 

Prior to this role, Chan served as Director, Global Products & Profitability for DuPont Water Solutions, which helps to purify more than 50 million gallons of water every minute around the world, enable water reuse and recycling, desalination, and allow safe access of both ground and surface water. With more than 20 years of service at DuPont and previously Dow, Chan has served in a variety of product, commercial, technical, and regional leadership roles in the Water business, as well as working in the traditional and alternative energies space. Chan earned a Bachelor of Science and Ph.D. in chemical engineering and polymer science, both from Louisiana State University.
