2023 Conference Highlights

The Global Water Summit (GWS) 2023, held on 8 – 10 May in Berlin Germany, was our largest gathering ever, with over 850 high-level executives from industry, municipalities, and international water companies in attendance.

Audience Participation

Members of the audience were asked to participate in voting on various questions during the Summit to aid panel

Global Water Awards

The Global Water Awards took place at the Estrel Convention Center in Berlin on the evening of the 9th of May 2023.
13 awards were presented to celebrate the year’s greatest achievements, rewarding the initiatives and companies
across the international water sector moving the industry forward.

Trophies were also presented to the new members of the Leading Utilities of the World (LUOW) network: MM Spa; Athens
Water and City of Cape Town. Membership is regarded as the gold standard of utility performance, based on a
rigorous, merit-based selection process. The three new members were inaugurated into the network in a meeting held
at The Reichstag Berlin on 8th May 2023.
