The GWI Global Water Awards recognise excellence in the global water industry - the deals, the projects, the technologies and the people who have made a difference. The importance of the awards is that they represent the views of those within the water sector. They are the most prestigious recognition of achievement in the international water sector and are selected annually as a result of a free vote given to subscribers to Global Water Intelligence and Water Desalination Report and members of the International Desalination Association.
The key note speech at the awards dinner will be from Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan. This promises to be a fascinating evening as Queen Noor will be telling the story of water in Jordan and linking it to wider issues in the Middle East and beyond. Queen Noor is well known as a humanitarian, activist and outspoken voice on issues of global peace-building, nuclear non-proliferation and cross-cultural understanding and her unique perspective will enlighten us all.
